Terms and conditions

The plain rules of buying the book here: who sells, what you get, when, and what you can do if something goes wrong.

1. Who sells

iLiks bv (trading as Well of Wisdom), Korte Zoutstraat 20, 9300 Aalst, Belgium, enterprise number 0867835640, VAT BE0867835640, e-mail [email protected], telephone +32 484 11 11 00. These terms apply to every order placed on this website. Book VI of the Belgian Code of Economic Law protects you as a consumer; nothing here reduces that protection.

2. What is sold

The ebook: a digital copy of Screw Architecture Manage Change delivered as ePub (reflowable and page-faithful), PDF and a PPTX deck of the diagrams, each personalised with your name and e-mail. No DRM. The files are for your own use; the licence is personal and non-transferable.

The paperback: the printed softcover edition, shipped to your address or picked up at one of the two pickup points shown at checkout. The ebook described above is included with every paperback and appears in your library as soon as the payment is confirmed.

2a. Digital content: what it needs and what it does

The ePub opens in Apple Books, Kobo, Google Play Books, Thorium, calibre and, after conversion by the reader's own tools, Kindle; the reading edition reflows, the page-faithful edition keeps the printed layout. The PDF needs any PDF reader; the deck needs PowerPoint, Keynote or LibreOffice. The files never contact a server and never expire. Each copy carries your name and e-mail on the title page and in the file's metadata: that is the licence, and the only technical measure. There is no digital rights management, no device limit and no online activation. Updated files, when we correct the book, appear in your library at no cost.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are in euro and include Belgian VAT; shipping is shown separately before you order. Payment is taken on the secure page of our payment provider (Mollie B.V.) with the methods shown at checkout — cards, Bancontact and the other methods Mollie enables for this shop. The order is placed when you press Order with obligation to pay; it is concluded when the payment is confirmed. You receive a confirmation and the invoice by e-mail.

4. Delivery

The ebook is available in your library at once after payment. The paperback is handed to bpost within three working days of payment, or held for pickup; you are told when it is ready. Add the carrier's transit time: one to two working days in Belgium, three to six in the rest of Europe, longer overseas. Risk passes to you when you or a person you appointed receives the parcel.

5. Right of withdrawal

You may withdraw from the purchase of the paperback within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason, as set out on the withdrawal page, which also contains the model form and the online withdrawal button. For the ebook you ask us to deliver at once; by ticking the box at checkout you agree to that and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once the download starts.

6. Legal guarantee

For the paperback the legal guarantee of conformity of two years applies (Book VI WER); a printing fault or a damaged copy is replaced or refunded. For the digital content the conformity rules for digital content apply: a file that does not open in the readers named above is replaced, and the files stay available in your library for as long as the book is sold. Nothing here limits your rights under Belgian law.

7. Complaints and disputes

Something wrong — a missing parcel, a file that will not open, an invoice to correct? Write to [email protected] or call +32 484 11 11 00; you get an answer within five working days and a solution within 14 days. If we cannot agree, you may turn to the Consumer Mediation Service (Consumentenombudsdienst, North Gate II, Koning Albert II-laan 8, 1000 Brussels, consumentenombudsdienst.be), the Belgian body for out-of-court settlement of consumer disputes; taking part is voluntary for both sides. The courts of the seller's seat are competent, without prejudice to your right to bring the matter before the courts of your own domicile. The European online dispute resolution platform has been discontinued and is no longer offered.

8. Personal data

How your data is used is described in the privacy and cookies page.

9. Changes

These terms carry a version number and an effective date. The version you accepted is recorded with your order and repeated in your confirmation mail; a later version never applies to an earlier order.
