Who is responsible

What we process, and why

• Orders: name, e-mail, address, country, the products, the payment reference and, for a company invoice, the company name and VAT number — to deliver, invoice and account for the sale (contract and legal obligation). Kept 10 years, the retention period for accounting and VAT records.
• Personalised files: your name and e-mail are stamped into the ebook you receive — to protect the licence (legitimate interest).
• Library sign-in: a one-time link sent to your e-mail and a session on your device for 30 days (contract).
• Consents: what you ticked at checkout, when, from which address — the evidence the law requires (legal obligation).
• Newsletter: your e-mail after double opt-in, held by our mailing provider Brevo; every mail has an unsubscribe link (consent).
• Contact form: your message and address, to answer you (legitimate interest); deleted after a year.
• Visits: page views with the referring page and a daily-changing hash of your address — never the address itself — to count readers and see what works (legitimate interest). Aggregated after 13 months.

Who else sees it

Mollie B.V. (payment), Brevo (mail), Cloudflare (network security and delivery), Backblaze (encrypted backups), our accountant and, for Belgian company buyers, the Peppol network that carries the e-invoice. None of them may use your data for their own purposes.

Your rights

Access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability and objection: from your library or by e-mail to [email protected]. You may also complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be).

Cookies

This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies, so it shows no banner. It uses only what is strictly necessary: a session cookie once you sign in to your library, and your theme choice stored in your browser. The payment page of Mollie sets its own cookies under Mollie's policy.
